"This painting plays with the use of Chroma-deph which is visible when using glasses with Chroma-deph lenses, these lenses separate the color fields from warn to cool creating a 3-Dimensional effect with the colors. The blues and blacks sink into the background, white, reds, yellows and oranges climb to the top of view creating these surreal perceptions of depth in what you know to be flat. This painting is the exploration if overlaying visual and op-art illusions with a subject and each color then has both a light and dark tone so that the visual illusion or op-art pattern stands out, creating a complex method of painting. This approach allows the dark and light tones to harmoniously play between the subject, the pattern/illusion and the vivid colors within".
