"This painting is part of a set that are intended to personify both a maculine as well as a feminine subject and beings, both are painted in the same coloration and set within an impossible hexagon frame, the gold leaf background adds a unifying element as well. These paintings are part of a creative exploration into utilizing forms and shapes present in my past artwork and graffiti and utilize these forms & shapes as a sort of visual vocabulary. With this vocabulary I seek to create my own interpretations of subjects, initially I have focused on humanoid type subjects and the multiple forms an shapes creates a somewhat segmented look which can perhaps be percieved as robotic, the subjects do seem to embody a futuristic aesthetic. Using multiple colors creates a vivid subject to explore, the use of gold leaf adds a touch of shimmer and brings in a different material to work with alongside the gouache medium. This is part of the Future Ancestors body of work".
